Functions
Tests the battery cover and container after heat sealing to make sure they are airtight. If no anomalies are detected, it proceeds to engrave a manufacturing code on each battery.

Machine operation
Once a battery has been conveyed to this machine, the testing device lowers down to suck air through the holes on the cover in order to detect possible leakages. If it is not airtight, the machine will trigger the alarm and unqualified batteries will be rejected; if qualified, the batteries will be sent to the next station, where it will be marked using a laser, dot peen or hot stamping technology.
